We named it because we built it.

Inkfish 1 2 3 is our own model, not a version of somebody else’s framework with our name on it. It is the shape every Inkfish home is built to, and every decision gets tested against it.

The three promises, the way we deliver them, and how we evidence and measure them are set out in our Statement of Purpose. It is provided to placing authorities and to Ofsted rather than published here.

Our first home

Something special is taking shape in Dudley.

Compass House, our first Inkfish Care home, is being thoughtfully designed and will be launching soon.

Created for children with emotional and behavioural needs, Compass House will feel warm, comfortable and homely. A place where young people can feel safe, build trusted relationships and receive care shaped around who they are.

Every room is designed with everyday life in mind, from welcoming shared spaces where relationships can grow to comfortable bedrooms that young people can make their own.

It marks the beginning for Inkfish Care, and the first step in our ambition to create exceptional homes where young people feel secure, supported and hopeful about their future.

What we provide

Two services. One group.

Residential care in separate homes for separate needs, and supported and transitional housing through Inkfish Homes for older young people moving toward independence, from our own homes and from other services. Where it is right for a young person and a home is available, the next step can be planned inside one group rather than handed over.

Why Inkfish exists.

Inkfish Care was founded by Louis Stedman-Bryce, who has spent several years raising the state of children’s residential care with colleagues across Westminster and the House of Lords, and on national broadcast media.
